Working with us

People are at the heart of our business – be that our team, others we work with or the members we represent. From new graduates starting their career with us to trustees with over 50 years’ experience, we’re a dynamic team that enjoys learning from and supporting each other as well as our clients.

We’re committed to delivering collaborative,
client-focused teamwork, supporting each other and doing
the very best job we can.

Why Vidett?

We know that people are the most valuable part of our business and want you to develop and grow alongside us. Our commitment to offering internal and external training, continued professional development and support with professional qualifications will allow you to develop the right tools and knowledge to help you progress your career as well as gain a range of key transferable skills.

Oh, and we like to have fun too…

Regional get-togethers

We recently held a Vidett crazy golf tournament, which saw various members of the team taking on a course of twists, turns and challenges, before rounding up the evening with some well deserved refreshments!

Summer Socials

As part of our regional meet-ups, we arranged some drinks and nibbles at a local restaurant, ahead a good old catch-up with colleagues inside, before hitting their sun-drenched terrace!

We are one!

To celebrate our first year as Vidett, we celebrated around the country with almost 400 friends and colleagues!

Cosan Regatta

Duncan Willsher, Claire Barnes and Tom Earl were sailing the high seas for the 5th Annual Cosan Charity Regatta; joined by colleagues from LCP, WTW, Cardano and BTG Legal.

Step up September

We signed up to the ‘Step Up’ challenge, which saw see members of the team either walking, running, cycling or swimming for at least 30 minutes each day throughout September.

World Mental Health Day ’23

To help raise awareness towards World Mental Health Day, we invited the team to wear yellow; helping us stand out and show our support towards young people’s mental health, and reminding them they’re not alone.

Christmas Away Day

In December we got the whole team together to take a look back at all the great things we achieved that year, followed by some festive drinks!

Training

Supporting you and your development is important to us. We have a wide training framework to support not only people looking for a pensions career but also those in marketing, technology, human resources, finance and other support roles.

Regular & ad hoc CPD/Learn@Lunch sessions

We offer a compelling training program, featuring inclusive continuous professional development (CPD) and Learn@Lunch sessions. These are designed to suit a broad audience while placing special emphasis on pertinent pension-related matters that directly impact our clients. Our training covers a wide spectrum of topics, such as covenant analysis, investment strategies, funding considerations, legal and regulatory aspects, governance practices, risk management and effective member communication and engagement strategies. Join us to enhance your expertise in these crucial areas.

Monthly pensions technical update

Every month, we provide an internal update via email to keep our colleagues informed. This update summarises key developments and offers valuable insights that may not be readily available through other sources. It also includes Q&As for team members interested in using them as part of their professional development.

Team days

We like to get together – because we know it helps us work better as a team. We do this twice a year, enabling colleagues to meet in person for training/strategy days. Our leadership team provide updates on the business’s performance, share insights into future strategies and create opportunities for idea sharing, celebrating achievements and fostering stronger connections among team members.

Professional qualifications & accreditation support

We believe in learning and development and provide support for all relevant qualifications, whether you want to obtain professional trustee accreditation or achieve formal marketing accreditation, for example. Our Training Team liaises with colleagues across the business (both client facing and non-client facing areas) to understand how support can be broadened to include wider qualification and study.

Feedback & surveys

Our Training Team runs staff surveys to inform the content of our future training and development initiatives. Gathering feedback is a crucial aspect of understanding the perspectives, views and requirements of our collective team as it evolves. We value colleagues’ continuous input regarding the training we provide and suggestions for the future.

Graduate/apprentice training programme

Working at Vidett provides an opportunity for graduates or school/college leavers to earn a competitive salary whilst gaining valuable qualifications in financial services. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, consider training with us and joining our growing, collegiate, diverse and inclusive team.
